When budget constraints put a project in jeopardy, Tektum’s team moved quickly with the development of revised technical specifications, drawings, and a phased approach to keep the project viable.

PROJECT GOALS

  • Address tight budget constraints.

  • Coordination with a large mechanical roof system upgrade.

  • New design requirements to address ponding water concerns.

During a global pandemic, manufacturing and industrial sectors were hit hard with uncertain times and fiscal restraints. A roof replacement project, which had been approved prior to such circumstances, was put on hold. With roof leaks continuing and a need to protect their building occupants and processes, the Building Manager needed a solution. Tektum worked on a revised design which would allow for this project to be broken down into 2 phases. This resulted in reducing the immediate project costs while addressing the portions of the roof that were creating the most disruption.
