As Vice President, Jason is responsible for all day-to-day operations within Tektum Consulting Group and works closely with Kevin to ensure complete customer care and satisfaction from initial contact to project completion. Jason is a skilled project manager and operations professional with more than 10 years of experience in the roofing industry. He holds an advanced diploma in Civil Engineering Technology from Mohawk College.
Jason began his career as an estimator with one of the nation’s largest roofing contractors where he specialized in creating detailed budgets and project costs on new construction and consultant- based re-roofing projects. With an ambitious, curious, and eager to learn attitude, Jason was quickly promoted to coordinating projects along with his estimating duties. In this role, he gained valuable experience in all aspects of the business working on large scale private and public sector projects.
Within five years, Jason began a new role as Senior Project Manager with another national roofing firm. This role saw Jason take more of a leadership position within the company; he engaged in contract administration, managed projects onsite and in the office, issued detailed change order works, and was the main point of contact for all clients.
Jason joined Tektum’s team in 2020. He enjoys helping clients find viable, cost-effective, and innovative solutions for their roofing needs. Jason is extremely hands-on with Tektum’s projects; from budgets, tender specifications and contract negotiations to detailed drawings, onsite visual inspections, cut tests and core samples, Jason makes certain that Tektum’s customers’ needs are met and their expectations exceeded.
As the founder and President of Tektum Consulting Group, Kevin is responsible for leading the organization in delivering high quality service to its clients while ensuring overall project and service compliance, from initial assessments to project close-outs.
Kevin has over 20 years of experience in the construction industry. He worked as a draftsman while completing an Honors Diploma in Architectural Technology – Construction Management at Mohawk College before moving on to become a Junior Estimator at one of the nation’s largest roofing contractors. In 2004, Kevin was promoted to the position of Estimator / Project Coordinator specializing in re-roofing, roof restoration, and roof maintenance projects. During this time, Kevin helped lead large consulting- based projects for national clients with facilities across Canada. In 2012, Kevin was further promoted to Operations Manager and became responsible for the oversight, direction and management of all roofing and sheet metal operations from Vancouver to Montreal.
In 2017, Kevin formed Tektum Consulting Group to meet a gap he had discovered in the roofing industry: a lack of lived roofing expertise on the consulting side of the business. At Tektum, Kevin has curated a team who bring together the best of practical and professional experience, and his approach is simple – AUTHENTIC PEOPLE PROVIDING VIABLE OPTIONS FOR REAL SOLUTIONS.
Kevin holds a Gold Seal Certification in Estimating and is a Certified Technician with the Ontario Association of Certified Engineering Technologists and Technicians. Additionally, Kevin is extensively involved within the industry that has supported him throughout the years. He is a past treasurer and cochair of the Hamilton Halton Construction Association’s YLG Committee, and he currently serves as the President for the Southern Ontario Chapter of the International Institute of Building Enclosure Consultants.
